Steps to a Home

Welcome to our simple, step-by-step guide on the buying process.

Step 1

Agent Convo

Start a Conversation

Getting started is as easy as making a phone call, and can save you a lot of hassle.

We highly recommend talking with an agent at the beginning of your home search, as they can clarify much of the real estate process.

A simple conversation can tell an agent where you are in the buying process, what you're working with, and what the next steps are.

Pressing this button will call our office.

Step 2

pre-approval

Get Pre-Approved

A pre-approval letter tells sellers that you're serious about buying a home. It also tells us what homes are eligible for your financing.

Some homes qualify for all forms of financing... some don't, and some are simply cash only. 😬

But don't worry, your agent can help you with this part too. Just remember, not every home qualifies for each loan type. That's why it's so important to finish this step.

Don't know where to go? Speak with your agent about who they recommend.

Step 3

showings

Search & Showings

Now that we're on the same page, let's find a home that's perfect for you.

It's important that we communicate regularly. Your agent will send you listings in email and texts that match your search.

You can get a head start by looking online: Search Online

Due to concerns about COVID-19 we may have remote showings available.

Step 4

negotiate (1)

Negotiations

You've found something you love, and your agent has submitted an offer.

Now What?

It can be stressful as you wait for the deal to be made, but you won't have to worry. 😃

Your agent is in your corner and they are negotiating the best terms for you. During this time it's super important to be available for your agent to reach, so keep an eye on your phone or emails.

Step 5

Search

Inspections & Appraisial

The inspection is to help you better understand what you're purchasing. We will need a closer look at the home with a home inspection by a certified home inspector, or licensed contractor.

Note: An inspection is not an appraisial.

After the inspection process has been completed, the lender will order the appraisial. The appraiser will tell us the value and if there are any required repairs for your type of loan.

Step 6

closing

Closing

Congratulations, this is the day we've all been waiting for! You're about to seal the deal on your next home. During the closing you will have a chance to ask any final questions you may have. But, what happens after that?

We won't disappear on you! You can expect us to contact you from time to time, to ask you, "How're you loving your new home?" It's important to us to stay in touch with people we've connected with.
